MALIN+GOETZ was founded in the chelsea neighborhood of new york city in 2004 by founders Matthew Malin + Andrew Goetz who set out to uncomplicate skincare. 

Twenty years later MALIN+GOETZ is a globally recognized brand, whose products garner fierce loyalty amongst discerning customers and designers alike.

Our client chose option C, the flatlay.

Note that all packshots are provided without shadows or lighting — just an isolated product without a background.

The challenge was automating the shadows and lighting at scale, and still have it all be perfectly matched to the product.

In this example,

the glow from the box and the caustics from the light travelling through the glass are all added in post

The shadows are automatically layered during the batch processing, and checked finally before export.

Spacial Analysis of Plans:

The architects initial plan proposed an ill-optimized counter/display. I did a spacial analysis using human factors and minimum+ideal range guidelines.

*note that I did not do the plan sections

Ultimately we ended up going with Plan A
